Why should I microchip my pet?

We know that every pet owner's worst fear is the thought of their pet going missing. There are many reasons why microchipping your pet can help increase the chances of them being found and being reunited with you.

Microchips provide a permanent and unique identification for your pet. Unlike collars and tags, they cannot be lost or removed, ensuring that your pet can be identified even if they get lost or separated from you. If your pet goes missing and is found by animal control and taken to your local county shelter, they can be scanned for a microchip. The information is stored in the microchip's database which can help reunite you with your pet quickly, increasing chances of a safe return. A microchip provides concrete proof of ownership. In cases of dispute or theft, having a microchip can legally establish that your pet belongs to you. Microchipping is a one-time procedure and is affordable. It's a small investment considering the potential emotional distress and financial burden of losing a pet.
